WISALTS is a farmer based community organisation that promotes the sustainable land treatment technology developed by Harry Whittington in the 1950s to control surface and sub-surface water flows. The society is based in Western Australia and holds annual field days and ‘schools’ to showcase their technology and to educate landholders and farmers about the best way to control water on their properties to avoid water logging and salinity.
WISALTS Consultants are available to visit properties in Western Australia to advise landholders and carry out planning and surveying of WISALTS surface water management systems. Please contact the nearest Consultant to enquire about availability and costs.
Please note: WISALTS Banks should not be confused with other similar earth constructions. They are not a WISALTS system unless they have been surveyed, planned and overseen by a qualified and currently licensed WISALTS Consultant.

Testimonial:
"I was so pleased and grateful for the sound advice you gave me, as to constructing substantial absorption banks. No gullying, washing or real damage was suffered after heavy rain January 23 and February 11 1990."
